  • Peyton really had no choice but to grow up "grooving" - since the wonderful Mrs. Candace is her mother! Since she was old enough to boogie, Peyton has been dancing her heart out and loving every minute of it. She came to Rhythms in 2012 as a student, began teaching in 2014, and is now back as a part-time competition teacher. She has taught ages 3-12 and any genre you can think of: tap, jazz, ballet, hip-hop, pom, tempo tots, and lyrical. She competed for 4 years in ballet, tap and jazz. She doesn't have any fancy accolades, but she does have a passion for dance and for making a positive impact in the lives of her dancers. She recently got married to the man of her dreams, Adam, and has two dogs (Kash and Libby) that keep her pretty busy. By day, she is a CPA and has worked in both tax accounting and general accounting. In her free time, she enjoys hiking with her hubby and puppies, reading a good book, trying new recipes, going to the gym, and sharing a good meal or coffee with friends. She takes the adult hip-hop and tap class here at Rhythms, and is proud to be the daughter of the incredible Mrs. Candace. She is so proud of her mom and everything she has been able to accomplish in this short amount of time, and more importantly the amazing business owner, teacher, and friend she is to everyone in the Rhythms family. Peyton is looking forward to staying on staff here at Rhythms in the future, both in-front of and behind the scenes!

  • Ms. Carsyn began dancing at the age of seven at Rhythms Dance Company. At the age of eight she began dancing competitively which resulted in over ten years of competitive dancing. She trained in jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, and musical theater. Through dancing at Rhythms, she was able to participate in many events and performances. She has danced at numerous festivals in Spartanburg, she has performed halftime with the Harlem Globetrotters, and she has performed in local parades. In 2021, Carsyn graduated from James F. Byrnes High School. Since graduating, she has been assisting and teaching at Rhythms. Carsyn was asked to join the staff full-time beginning in the 2023-2024 season. While teaching dance, she is currently pursuing a degree in Early Care and Education with hopes of becoming a preschool teacher. Carsyn fell in love with dance at an early age and continues to become more passionate about dance as she teaches. She loves being able to grow strong relationships with her students and the faculty through the gift of dance. She is excited to see where the path of dance takes her and her students.

  • Mr. Mark is a dancer whose specialty is tap and the tap style known as "hoofing". Throughout his career, Mark has worn many hats - from being a performer at Disney World, to an entertainer at Universal Studios, where he was named "Best Outside Entertainer at Universal Studios Florida", to a choreographer who has produced award winning competition dance pieces. One of the highlights of

Mark's career has been being sought out by and performing for the legendary tapper, Gregory Hines.

Some of Marks many accomplishments in choreography include choreographing numerous NBA/NFL Halftime Shows, Universal Studios Blues Brothers Show, the NSYNC Charity Basketball Challenge, the Harlem Globetrotters World Wide Tour, and the Sesame Street Live National Tour. For the past 12 years, Mark has also been involved in choreographing various parades and holiday events at Universal Studios Florida, including the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, Mardi Gras, and Universal Summer Nights.

In addition to teaching at Rhythms Dance, Mark also teaches various workshops and master classes throughout the United States. He is also currently performing all across the country with his tap/percussion group Street Beatz, which has performed on America's Got Talent. Perhaps Mark's biggest accomplishment is being a father to his beautiful daughter Jordan, who also happens to be a dancer, just like her dad.

How We Started

Rhythms Dance opened its doors in 2005 with Jennifer Eleazer’s passion to bring the joy of dance to children in Greenville/Spartanburg, South Carolina. That joy was shared with Ballet Teacher Ms. Candace Elmore, who took over the studio in 2023 and hopes to continue fostering an environment of light and love in the studio and community.

From the beginning, Rhythms has created a Faith-filled atmosphere that nourishes body, soul, and spirit. The studio is located in Duncan just a mile south of Interstate I-85.
